A Walk Around the Farm

One morning I gathered my dear brother's camera (with its telephoto lens),  the tips I learned in a 20 minute photo tutoring session, and I took a walk around the farm.

The Beauty of the Farm in April

The leaves have filled in on the oak trees,
grass is still plentiful and flowers are growing everywhere.
The Lord has created another beautiful Spring!

Birthday Tree

Every year the tree outside the kitchen window begins to bloom the week before my birthday.
It begins with tiny green leaves and dark pink blossoms.
Within the week, usually on my birthday,
the tree is arrayed with opened white blossoms sprinkled with the dark pink blooms.
It is truely an exceptional sight that I consider my first birthday present of the year!

Early March

The farm begins to turn green during early March.
There are baby leaves on the trees, the grass grows plentifully,
and the yellow mustard adds beauty to the fields.

First signs of Spring:

The bulbs are in bloom, the fields are green,
the first blooms are on the trees
and the pea pods in the garden are accessorized
with delicate purple blossoms...Spring is near!

first blossoms on the farm!

Daffodil Time
It is daffodil time, so the robins all cry,
For the sun's a big daffodil up in the sky.
And when down the midnight owl call "to-who"!
Why, then the round moon is a daffodil too;
Now sheer to the bough-tops the sap starts to climb,
So, merry my masters, it's daffodil time.
